The smile on my face
I lost it unknowingly
On the day when I was
The Happiest on earth
With sheer elegance and grace
The smile on my face.
I don't remember exactly the day
Yet it was somewhere years ago
When I was a child
Playing and watching the birds sing
I never knew that lost in
playing, I would leave
leaving no trace
The smile on my face.
Sometimes the lips try to widen up
And steal something they don't possess
Guess what! The things are strange
Many a time they succeed too
In pretending to be the owner of a smile
Yet, knowingly the heart allows
to pierce the needle through the mind
And, yet show it as a reflexive embrace
Yes..the smile on my face.
The falseness and the fake- so real
that one can not distinguish
Whether the lips are pretending
or the smile is-- to be on the face
Yes, the smile on my face
which I lost unknowingly.
I lost it unknowingly
On the day when I was
The Happiest on earth
With sheer elegance and grace
The smile on my face.
I don't remember exactly the day
Yet it was somewhere years ago
When I was a child
