Standing before the mirror
I thank You today;
Though vast at words I want to be laconic
Just thank You today

For the days we shared
For the talks we had
The walks, the corridors ,the rooms too
For all we paired
I thank........

Laughters heard, tears wiped
Secrets spread, faith survived
I thank........

Studies did , mischieves played
Games enjoyed, and the legs pulled
I thank................

For unknown crushes teased
For girls names surround, mocked
I thank..................

For all fights had, for all smiles passed
The apologies , the messages, the words said
I thank...................

Past unknown , future not shown
Present we had as a gift.
Yes, I thank..................

For birthdays , for movies, for songs
good appreciation , cynicism too
I thank................

For journeys traveeled , for food attained
together, without too and yet the taste maintained
I thank................

For canteen, for chocolates, for drinks
all snatched; yes I miss it today , still somehow link.....
I thank...........

Cards given , birthdays learnt
Longings earned, belongings too ( secretly)
I thank...............

All You said , All I heard
Some heard without being said
Isnt it??

For being, for caring , for loving always
in all sorts of peculiar ways
Yes , I thank..........

And so,You see it doesnot want to end
There are so many thanks always to send.....
Let me not thank You any more
For You are mine, You always have been......

We meet people , we enjoy the days with them and yet at some point of time we need to change the track, select the best untrodden path and depart . But departing doesnot always mean being aparted , for one must remember that every airport ( of life) has two nexus - one the Arrival , other ; the Departure.........For all those dear and near ( not just in sense of distance) , never forget that there is always a flight back........Love You All.........
